Summary of the Position:
This is a key role, supporting the Accounting and related documentation activity at Nektar Therapeutics, reporting to the AD-Accounts. Primarily, the position is responsible for recording Journal Entries, keeping track of all statutory payments within due dates, Nektar US vendor Invoicing and assisting in Statutory / Tax audits, and GST audits.
We are seeking for an organized, ambitious Senior Accounting officer who will be a good team player and be responsible for all the activities related to day to day accounting of the Companys operations at Hyderabad.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Assisting in monthly accounts closing by way of recording month end JEs, preparing required schedules, Bank reconciliation statements.
- Accounting of Nektar US vendor invoices and correspondence with vendors with regard to their outstanding queries.
- Preparation of data for TDS quarterly returns and coordinating with Consultants for issue of TDS Certificates.
- Actively involve in Statutory and Tax audits by way of preparing and providing all required accounting schedules to Auditors.
Desired Candidate Profile
A Graduate / Post Graduation along with a minimum of 4- 6 years of professional experience or CA (Inter / final) with 2-3 years of experience as an Officer, Accounting or related position. Experience with ERP software required for this role. Must have strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel). Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently. Accurate and precise attention to detail is a must.
